From Struggle Comes Strength

From Struggle Comes Strength – aren’t these words inspiring? I think These words are inspiring. Do you think so? (Please leave your opinion in the comments)

It is very much true that without any struggle you will have no strength. Have you seen the poster that is hung on the walls of any gym – “No Pain, No Gain”?

Yes, you thought that right, both the wordings or phrases are very similar to each other in meaning. Both have a lot of meaning and you need strength to reach your goals. To have a fit body, you need to take a lot of pain initially. Similarly in life too.

Here is another quote that has a similar meaning- “A diamond cannot be polished without friction nor a man perfected without trials”. For a diamond to shine perfectly, it has to go through a lot of cutting processes. Only then it will sparkle brightly. Similarly, the trials that a person faces in their life only make him perfect – it makes him wiser, better, and stronger mentally.

To be as perfect and to be as strong as a diamond you must be polished with friction. In other words, you must face trials and struggles to shine like a solitaire diamond and succeed in life.

Here is another example related to sports. Imagine that you are in the game of hurdles. The track in the game that you run in is your life and the hurdles in these tracks are the struggles you have in your life. Each hurdle is higher than the previous one. When you start jumping over the hurdles, initially you fall because you are not used to it. But with practice and constantly trying, you succeed. The fall will make you determined and strong enough to jump over the next hurdle which is taller than the previous one. The initial struggles make you strong enough to jump over the next hard hurdle.

The meaning of strength in life is not just physical fitness, it is knowledge and wisdom which you can only gain through struggles and trials. So do not stop running when you fall in the path of life. Get up and move forward. If you quit, then you will not be successful in your race and in your life. So remember, “From Struggle Comes Strength”.
